Effective Date: October 27, 2025
Last Updated: January 28, 2026

This website is a personal project. I value the privacy of my visitors and believe in transparency regarding how data is handled when you interact with this site.

1. Information Handling

I believe in minimal data collection. For the purposes of the GDPR, I am the Data Controller of any personal information you provide via this site. Information handling is limited to the following:

  • Contact Form: When you use the contact form, your submission is processed through CoffeeCup Software (S-Drive) to deliver the message to my email. The legal basis for this processing is your explicit consent. You can review the CoffeeCup Privacy Policy.
  • Voluntary Data: I only receive the name, email, and message content you provide. I use this information solely to respond to you.
  • Data Retention: I do not maintain a marketing database. Correspondence and feedback are deleted once they are no longer needed for our communication.

2. Third-Party Services & Technical Data

To provide specific features, this site connects to third-party services. While I do not track you, loading these features requires your browser to communicate with their servers, which may log technical data like your IP address:

  • Google reCAPTCHA: To prevent spam on my contact form, this site is protected by reCAPTCHA. Use of this feature is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
  • Mastodon Feed: My social media feed is displayed via a custom script. Loading this feed requires your browser to fetch data from the Mastodon instance (mastodon.social) where my profile is hosted.
  • Bible Verse Widget (Biblia): The Verse of the Day is powered by Biblia (Logos Bible Software). Loading this widget requires your browser to connect to their API. You can view the Faithlife/Logos Privacy Policy.
  • Blog Hosting (Blogger/Google): My blog is hosted on Blogger. Clicking a blog link takes you to a platform owned by Google, which is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

3. Your GDPR Rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have specific rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to Access/Erasure: You may request a copy of the correspondence I have from you or request that I delete it ("the right to be forgotten").
  • Right to Rectification: You may ask me to correct any inaccurate information you have sent.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: You can withdraw your consent for me to contact you at any time.

To exercise these rights, please reach out via the Contact page.

4. External Links

This website contains links to other websites and various other resources. I am not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or cookie usage of these third-party sites. I encourage you to read the privacy policies of any site you visit after leaving mine.

5. Data Security

  • HTTPS encryption is used to protect all data in transit between your browser and this site.
  • No behavioral tracking, automated decision-making, or user profiling is performed.
  • All third-party logos and trademarks remain the property of their respective entities.
